Keys and key cards shall be assigned only to authorized employees of the College who will be responsible for the security of the keys and/or key cards and the security of the area that is accessed with the keys and/or key cards. To ensure facility security, keys and key cards are assigned to, and recorded in the name of, the individual. Do not give your keys or key cards to other employees or students.

KEYS

Obtaining Keys – Your department/division support staff will provide assistance in completing the appropriate Key Request forms for the main campus.  Please call (360) 992-6072 regarding keys for WSUV.

Picking Up Keys When Issued – You will be notified by email when your key is ready for pick-up in Facilities Services.  When you pick up your key(s), you will be asked to complete and sign a Clark College Key Agreement.  The signed Key Agreement acknowledges your understanding that a $100 fee will be assessed if you do not return your key(s) at the time of separation from the College.  Unpaid penalties will be sent to collections.

Lost/Stolen Keys – If keys are lost or stolen, faculty members are required to notify their immediate supervisor and the Security/Safety Department of the loss and to submit in writing to the supervisor an explanation of the circumstances within three (3) business days.  A copy of the written explanation must be included with the request for a replacement key.

Returning Keys – When no longer teaching for the College faculty must return their keys to Facilities Services by their last working day.  The College will issue a penalty of $100 if keys are not returned when a new key is issued or when an employee separates.
